Will sal water effect hair dye?

ok so i had teal hair till it wash out an turned green i tried baking soda and water, baking soda , baking soda and vinger an finally salt water so now i am going to dye my hair light brown. if that works i want to no if the stuff i did effect my hair and also i want to put carrot creme to help make my hair nice and soft but i heard that its better to have dirty hair to dye is that true
