Help! me and my friend like the same guy!?

ok so my friend allie likes this guy for about 6 months. I started to like him and my other friend michelle told allie i liked him and she was sort of ok with that. That same day the guy .. lets call him sal texts me and tells me he likes me. I was so happy i go and tell my bestfriend alexis and she thought i was being a b*tch and goes and tells allie. Allie flips out on me and now we are in a huge fight. I'm also in a fight with alexis and she still thinks I'm being selfish for still likeing him. To clear things up i told allie i dont like sal and we should stop fighting, because if i didnt she doesnt want to be my friend anymore. So i lied. I text him all the time and he really likes me and i like him. Am i wrong for doing this? And still likeing him? please help need advice no bad comments thank youu:)
