Singapore - Cost of living?

My husband has got a job offer in Singapore for 4500 SGD (take home sal per month). How are the renting costs there? say for a 3 bedroom apt? and is that a above avg salary to live comfortable there? its only one earning, since i am a home maker. we are also planning for a kid soon. so, would this salary accommodate all expenses?
