I need a girl's name for my flash fiction story that can be shortened. Some suggestions?

I am trying to get a name for my character in my flash fiction story. She is mildly retarded and about 60 years old. Her family calls her a shortened version of her name. The story takes place in the present day. I am thinking, but haven't come up with anything good. "Jo" for Joanne is too masculine. "Sal" for Sally doesn't quite work.
