How to deal with my "friend"?

This girl...lets call her Sal. She acted like she was my friend all of the school year, and then just last week, she told this other guy to tell me that she didn't like me. Then, today, when I asked her if she, herself, really didn't like me she said, "No I don't like you"...And then I asked her why she didn't just tell me herself and she said--(what made me run away crying)--"I felt sorry for you because I know no one likes you" and she didn't even say it in a insulting way. She said it in a "i can't believe you don't know this" way. And, like I said before, I ran off crying....Help?
